Gaberielle Miller
My name is Gaberielle Miller, and I am in the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program Summer 2018 and will graduate in Spring 2020. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. After graduating from Kennesaw, I worked at KinderCare Learning Center as a pre-kindergarten assistant. About a year later, I started working at Russell Elementary as a fifth-grade Title I teacher. For the next three years, I spent my time teaching kindergarten at Russell Elementary. In 2015, I headed back to Kennesaw to pursue a Master’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, with an ESOL Endorsement.
I currently work at Russell Elementary as a second-grade teacher of the Dual Language Immersion Program (DLI). My history with KSU’s educational program led me to the Ed. S. program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to improve my teaching practice and to help prepare digital age learners.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links above the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the “standards” link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University. I feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
