Artifact: Weebly Portfolio
Reflection:
Throughout this Ed. S program, I have had the chance to take several technology courses that have helped me expand my expertise in instructional technology. After completing each course, I was given a chance to reflect on my experience of the course by explaining what I learned and how the course has helped me grow as a technology coach and leader. This artifact is a collection of my learning experience from June 2018 to now, March 2020.
Standard 6.2 states, "Candidates regularly evaluate and reflect on their professional practice and dispositions to improve and strengthen their ability to effectively model and facilitate technology-enhanced learning experiences." The artifact attached is confirmation of my ability to regularly evaluate and reflect on my professional practice and dispositions regularly. The blog entries ranged from my reflections in courses that taught me about technology integration (ITEC), and leadership courses that deepened my knowledge of research-based best practices for the classrooms (EDUC).
Creating this artifact has made me realized that I had taken all the required courses for my Specialist in Instructional Technology. Not only am I prepared to integrate technology into my teaching practice effectively, but I am also prepared to support my colleagues in utilizing technology to transform their teaching practice. Above all, I am equipped to prepare digital age learners for success in a global and ever-changing society. If I could change the process of creating this artifact, I would have kept a digital journal for each course and added information to that course after completing an assignment, versus waiting to the end of a course to reflect on everything.
This artifact impacted faculty development and student learning. The blog entries told about my experience and knowledge gain throughout this Ed. S program. That same knowledge I attained was shared among my colleagues throughout my entire learning experience. My learning experience will also impact student learning because I will use the knowledge and skills I attained throughout this program to transform my traditional classroom into a digital learning classroom. The impact of this artifact can be assessed through my teaching, my lesson plans, and classroom observation.
